Discovering Photoshop

5th graders took a closer look at photography and the digital arts, creating Picture Puzzles with Photoshop. They captured familiar images around the school, and produced two pictures: one is the original, and one is "photoshopped". Their work will help sharpen your observation skills, and remind you to notice all the detail in everyday life.

Snowglobe Escape

Fifth grader Paris produces her second stop-motion animation, featuring an adventurous snowman who breaks out of his snowglobe. For this movie clip, she used a tripod to hold the camera in place while she rearranged the cut-paper forms for each shot.

Mondrian in Mind

Fourth grade artists use black

construction paper, tissue paper,

scissors & glue to form abstract

work in the style of Dutch painter,

Piet Mondrian.

"Every true artist has been inspired more by the beauty

of lines and color and the relationships between them

than by the concrete subject of the picture."

- Piet Mondrian
